Lady Gaga flashes at Fashion Designers Awards Show

Lady Gaga was left red-faced as she arrived at an awards ceremony on Monday when her corset fell down and exposed her bare breasts.

The "Poker Face" hitmaker was invited to collect the Fashion Icon prize at the Annual Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards in New York, and she dressed up in a wig and elaborate black dress to attend the ceremony at the Lincoln Center in Manhattan.

Gaga donned a bright teal wig and a spike-breasted gown by Thierry Mugler, but when she tried to pose with her hands behind her head, the corset slipped and left her chest exposed.

However, Gaga seemed unfazed and went on to praise Mugler's designing talents in her acceptance speech.
She told the crowd, "I can't believe I'm allowed in here. My sister is here with me tonight. I told her I was very nervous.

"I used to save up my money to buy Mugler vintage archive. I used to save up all my money. I had to have it. That's really what fashion is all about for me. I already felt like I had made it before I had made it. All of you made me feel like a star before I was. Thank you for believing in me."

Marc Jacobs won the night's lifetime achievement award and other stars in attendance at the event included Kanye West, Naomi Watts, Lucy Lui and Marcia Cross.

A spokesperson for Britney Spears has shot down rumors the pop star is to wed again after she was photographed wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.

Lindsay Lohan 'Ready to Accept' Jail Time

Lindsay Lohan is "angry" about her looming 120-day jail sentence, but is willing to accept her punishment and serve out her time, according to her producer pal Nathan Folks.

The "Mean Girls" star was charged with probation violation by a judge in Los Angeles on Friday and ordered back to jail for a fourth time.

The sentence - which also includes 400 hours of community service - came as she pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge relating to the alleged theft of a necklace from a California jewelry store back in January. The judge decided the accusation constituted a violation of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI charge and Lohan was booked into a California jail before being freed on bail to appeal the sentence.

Movie producer Folks has now spoken out about his close friend's situation, revealing the 24 year old feels disappointed as she was looking forward to getting her acting career back on track with a number of new film roles.

He tells , "She is fine. Obviously, she is upset about (being sentenced to four months in jail)... She is angry because she has been working so hard on turning her life around. She didn't do what they said she did. She didn't steal that necklace."

Folks also claims Lohan - who was released from three months of court-ordered rehab in January - is prepared to go to jail and attend alcohol and drugs therapy to cement her recovery.

He adds, "Lindsay Lohan is ready to do her time. She wants to go to A.A. (Alcoholics Anonymous) and N.A. (Narcotics Anonymous) and to serve her 400 hours (of community service). She has already been doing lots of charity work."

No Vulgarity in Nudity: Poonam Pandey

There is no vulgarity in nudity, said Poonam Pandey, the model whose offer to go nude before Team India if they won the Cricket World Cup shot the mercury up for the India-Sri Lanka final in Mumbai.

"We were all born nude. People take nudity as vulgarity. I see it in a different way. If I keep it as an offer for bringing the World Cup to India, which incidentally worked (laughs), I see no harm in it," Pandey told us in an interview.

The model's offer hit the headlines prior to the April 2 World Cup final in Mumbai. A court case was also filed against her over the issue.

"After such a long time Team India was again very close to winning the World Cup and I truly wanted to them to be successful. It (going nude in front of the team) was a sort of offering from my side to our cricketers," Pandey told us in an interview.

Does she believe that Team India won the World Cup just so it did not miss her offering?

"No, I won't say that. But I had prayed to God that if India brings the Cup I would strip in front of the team. I am yet to fulfil my commitment though," Pandey said.

But her parents were certainly upset.

"Frankly, when I gave the statement my parents felt very bad. But when I explained to them why I made the offer, they were relieved a bit," she said.

Poonam Pandey, an aspiring actress, is one of the contestants in the fourth season of the action adventure reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' on COLORS channel.

If she could face the whole country over the nudity controversy, competing 12 pairs of contestants in the 'Khatron ke..' show is nothing, the model said.

"I am not afraid of anyone. I wasn't afraid when whole India was after me. There is no chance I fear a bit about the 12 pairs of contestants. On the contrary, I would love to make people fear me," said Pandey.

Songwriter for Britney Spears Hits Out at Critics

A songwriter on Britney Spears' new album "Femme Fatale" has jumped to defend the pop superstar against criticism suggesting she didn't write any of the lyrics.

The singer has been a part of the songwriting process for at least one track on each of her last five discs, contributing the most to her 2003 project "In the Zone," including her Madonna duet, "Me Against the Music."

Spears is not credited as a writer on any of the tunes from her seventh studio album, prompting some detractors to take aim at the singer for relying on the talents of others to produce hits for her.

But collaborator Heather Bright, who co-wrote Femme Fatale's "Trouble for Me," insists few pop stars actually come up with their own lyrics and Spears should be applauded for not forcing her songwriters into giving her credit just so she can take a cut of the royalties.

In a post on her blog, Bright writes, "I would just like to address one thing! The media is talking trash about how Britney didn't write any of the songs on her album ... HELLO! Wake up everybody! NONE OF THESE ARTISTS WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS!!!!!! (there are a few exceptions ... lady gaga, will.i.am/BEP, chris brown is starting to write a lot of his own stuff...)

"Anyway... Britney could have come to me, like all these other A-list artists, and said ... 'Hey, you wanna be on my album? I'm gonna need writing credit for that song AND part of your publishing (royalties) even though I didn't write anything! And then I'm gonna go on tour and gross $150 million in ticket sales and not give you any of that, even though I'm performing your song!' I could rattle off a laundry list of artists who I've had that conversation with!"

And Bright has nothing but praise for Spears and her creative team.

Michael Jackson's physician fires publicist for leaking jury selection information

On the first day of his trial, Michael Jackson’s personal physician fired his publicist for leaking jury selection information to a celebrity gossip website.

On Wednesday, TMZ.com had posted what purported to be proposed defense questions for potential jurors, a leak that Dr. Conrad Murray’s attorney acknowledged came from their own publicist. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said the questions were “bogus” but that he was concerned about how information on the Internet would affect the answers potential jurors give during jury selection.

Murray is accused of involuntary manslaughter for giving Jackson a fatal dose of the surgical anesthetic propofol.

Defense attorneys told Pastor in chambers that a media company hired by the defense had leaked six questions the company had suggested for the jury pool. None of the questions ended up in the final questionnaire, which Pastor earlier ordered sealed.

“It is an embarrassment,” Ed Chernoff, Murray’s attorney, told the judge. Chernoff apologized and said the company would be fired.

After the hearing, Chernoff confirmed that the employee was Miranda Sevcik, a Houston publicist who began working for Murray and his legal team two days after Jackson’s death.

Sevcik declined to comment, beyond wishing the defense well.

On Thursday, 159 potential jurors were sworn in and screened for financial hardship. Jury selection is expected to continue Friday. Testimony in the case is scheduled to begin in May.

The necklace Lindsay Lohan is accused of stealing from a California jewelry store is to be auctioned off for charity.

The "Mean Girls" star is facing a felony grand theft charge and a possible prison sentence if she is found to have stolen the $2,500 piece from the Kamofie & Company store in California in January.

Bosses at the shop have now confirmed the item in question is set to be sold off and the proceeds handed to charity.

A representative for Kamofie & Company tells TMZ.com, "We have decided to sell the diamond necklace through auction, and give the proceeds to charity. We invite the public to make suggestions as to the most appropriate charity to receive the benefit of the sale's proceeds."

The Los Angeles County District Attorney is currently holding the necklace as evidence and the sale won't be held until after Lohan's legal case is resolved. She is due back in court on Thursday.

The news comes just days after the actress threatened to sue store bosses for allegedly striking a $40,000 deal to release CCTV tapes, which show Lindsay Lohan trying the necklace on.

Attorneys on behalf of the singer have sent a legal letter to bosses at Ice ceramists in the U.K. capital's Covent Garden warning them to change the name of the bizarre concoction.

In the document, Gaga's lawyers accuse store owner Matt O'Connor of riding on the pop star's "coattails" to promote a product which is "deliberately provocative and, to many people, nausea-inducing." The letter adds, "The references you are making to Lady Gaga are thus clearly deliberate and intended to take advantage of her reputation and good will... Associating the Lady Gaga mark with a food product which may be unsafe for human consumption (owing to the risk of it carrying such viruses as hepatitis) is also highly detrimental."
However, O'Connor insists he has been unfairly targeted, calling the legal threat "preposterous and outrageous".

He tells Britain's Evening Standard, "We think this is very unnecessary, the whole thing will be over by next week, but we are prepared to fight this in court... The pop celebrity and her new boyfriend, Matthew Rutler, were full into safekeeping by Los Angeles police after cops supposedly spotted their car being driven intermittently through West Hollywood.

The singer was booked for the misdemeanor, while Rutler stands accused of driving under the influence.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy Bill McSweeney says Aguilera was "not involved in any criminal activity" and was allowed to walk free on Tuesday morning once she could "safely take care of herself." She will not face prosecution.

Production assistant Rutler was freed hours later on $30,000 bail.

The couple met on the set of movie musical "Burlesque" last year and became an item shortly after Aguilera announced she was divorcing husband Jordan Bratman.

The communal intoxication is the newest in a number of embarrassments for the singer - she messed up the lines to the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and stumbled through an Aretha Franklin tribute at the Grammy Awards last month.

However, Medina's appearance on "American Idol" was not completely in vain -- generous viewers have donated a handicapped van to the couple, in addition to $29,000 in cash.

Lopez has since defended her teary TV breakdown, explaining it was "really hard" to send one of her favorite wannabes home.

Speaking on "Idol" host Ryan Seacrest's Los Angeles radio show on Thursday morning, Lopez insisted it wasn't like her to lose control of her emotions.

Victoria and David Beckham swapped planes at the final minute on Wednesday for "safety reasons," sparking conjecture they wanted to keep away from a run-in with a model passenger they'd before had a spat with.

The former Spice Girl and her football star husband were due to take off from London to Los Angeles on a Virgin Atlantic flight, on the similar plane as busty model Katie Price.
